New Device Procedures for Grades 3-5

Beginning this school year, students in grades 3-5 will no longer routinely bring their YCSD-issued devices home. As a result, teachers will not assign schoolwork requiring an electronic device outside the school day.

Technology will continue to be an important learning tool during the school day. Teachers will use digital devices and online resources when they support instruction, student engagement, and learning.

Please note - there may be times when students need to bring a device home, such as when weather could close schools. We will communicate with families before sending devices home in these situations.
