Kindergarteners were recently treated to a celebration of Yorktown Victory Day by inviting Mr. Bennett (Magruder teacher) and Mr. Wilson (Magruder parent) who both play for the Colonial Williamsburg Fife and Drum Corps to lead our parade around the school. The Kindergartners learned the importance of the Yorktown Battle and were happy to celebrate as they marched with their own fife, drums, hats, and flags in their parade.

Our 5th-grade Panther Cubs used their scientific investigation skills to evaluate the impact that different liquid substances had on gummy bears. Be sure to ask your Panther Cubs about the science experiments they have done so far this school year.

YCSD has adopted the I Love U Guys Foundation Standard Response Protocol (SRP) for emergency situations. Students will learn more about the protocols during the first week of school to help them become familiar with the terms and steps to take in an emergency.
